Arkansas Crossroads Block for Stash Bee

I was down to the wire for Stash Bee last month, but managed to finish my blocks on New Year’s Eve. It was a simple, but traditional and striking pattern called Arkansas Crossroads:

The queen bee for this month wanted them as scrappy as possible, so I picked some of my favorite random patterns in my scrap bin. I tried to put them together without any rhyme or reason, but this little four patch makes me laugh because it has some of the wildest fabrics:

Chocolate chip cookies, and this bright, beautiful Indian-inspired print. But also:

This cute little Japanese print I used a while back, with animals riding a Ferris wheel. And one of my favorite and random fabrics:

I’ve got a fat quarter of this black and white fabric that is movie posters from sci-fi and cult classic films. It always makes me crack up, so it’s fun to be able to work it into a quilt block for someone else. 🙂
